Welcome to the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), an independent non-profit research organization based in Kochi, India, established in 2004. CPPR conducts professional research integrating developments in key areas such as education, livelihood, governance, urban reforms, and the environment.
As part of our mission to foster knowledge and skill development, we offer a range of online educational courses and programs designed to provide valuable learning opportunities to individuals across various sectors. Our platform provides users with access to high-quality content, including but not limited to professional courses, study materials, and related resources aimed at advancing education and policy knowledge.
By accessing or using our website, app, or any other services provided by CPPR, you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) and our Privacy Policy, which govern your use of our platform and services. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please refrain from using our platform. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.
To access and utilize the services provided by CPPR, you must fulfill the following conditions and if you do not meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this section, you are prohibited from using our services. CPPR reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate any of these eligibility conditions.
1.1 Age Restriction: You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use our services. Use of our platform by anyone under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the platform.
1.2 Ability to Form a Binding Contract: By using our services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to form a binding contract with CPPR, and that you are not prohibited by any applicable laws from accessing or using our platform.
1.3 Consent to Data Processing: By using the services, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data as provided under applicable data protection laws.
1.4 Regional Restrictions: CPPR’s services are available to users worldwide, however, access may be restricted in certain regions based on local laws or regulations. If you are located in a country or region where use of the platform is prohibited, you agree not to use the services.
1.5 Compliance with Laws: You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies of your jurisdiction when using our services.
To access and use certain features of the Platform, you are required to create an account by providing accurate and complete information during the registration process. This includes, but is not limited to, your full name, email address, contact details, and other relevant personal or professional information. You agree to provide truthful and up-to-date information and maintain the accuracy of your account details.
You are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breaches related to your account.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you. You are advised to log out from your account at the end of each session, especially when accessing the Platform from a shared or public device.
You agree to update your account information to keep it accurate and current. If you fail to do so, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Platform for educational purposes only. This license allows you to view and interact with the course materials, take courses, and access other features of the Platform, but solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You acknowledge and agree that all content available on the Platform, including but not limited to courses, materials, videos, quizzes, and assessments, are the property of the Platform, its licensors, or other content providers, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You do not have the right to resell, distribute, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works based on the content without express permission from the Platform or its content providers.
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purposes, including but not limited to accessing or distributing pirated content, attempting to reverse-engineer the Platform, or interfering with the functioning of the Platform.
The license granted to you is revocable, and we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms.
4.1 Ownership and Use of Content
All content provided through the Platform, including courses, materials, videos, text, graphics, images, logos, designs, and trademarks (collectively, "Platform Content"), are the exclusive property of the Platform, its licensors, or third-party content providers. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any ownership rights in the Platform Content by using the Platform. The Platform Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws and is made available to you solely for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
The Platform retains full ownership of all content created, posted, or offered on the Platform, and you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and view this content strictly for educational purposes.
4.2 User-Generated Content
As a user of the Platform, you are not permitted to upload, post, or submit any content related to courses or educational materials to the Platform. You may only access and interact with the content provided by the Platform or its authorized content providers. However, you may submit certain types of content such as feedback, reviews, or questions about the courses or services offered.
Any such submissions you make may be shared with the Platform for the purpose of improving the services and user experience. You retain ownership of your submissions, and by submitting them, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and distribute your submissions in connection with the services provided by the Platform.
4.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to upload, post, transmit, or share any content on the Platform that:
The Platform reserves the right to remove or disable access to any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate or harmful. The Platform may also suspend or terminate accounts of users who violate these Terms, including submitting or sharing prohibited content.
5.1 Ownership of Platform Content
All content provided on the Platform, including but not limited to courses, text, images, videos, logos, trademarks, designs, and any other materials (collectively "Platform Content") is owned by the Platform or its authorized content providers and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights, title, or interest in the Platform Content is transferred to users by accessing or using the Platform.
5.2 User-Generated Content
As a user, you acknowledge that any content you submit to the Platform, including feedback, reviews, questions, and any other communication (collectively "User Submissions") remains your intellectual property. However, by submitting User Submissions, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, distribute, display, and create derivative works based on your submissions in connection with the services provided by the Platform. This license is granted for the purpose of improving the Platform and providing services to other users.
5.3 Trademarks
The trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on the Platform are the property of the Platform or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of these trademarks without the prior written consent of the respective owner.
5.4 No Transfer of Ownership
Except as expressly granted in these Terms, you do not acquire any right, title, or interest in the Platform’s intellectual property, including its content and trademarks. All rights not explicitly granted are reserved by the Platform.
6.1 Payment Methods & Fees
All payment details that are downloadable or designed for online use are typically made available to the beneficiary immediately after a successful transaction. While the delivery process is set up for instant transmission of the services, such as attending online or onsite classes offered by CPPR, CPPR will not refund the course fee because of a delay by the beneficiary in accessing these services due to reasons at the beneficiary's end or at the internet service provider. CPPR shall not be responsible for any delays in transmission due to web service outages or email delivery delays beyond CPPR’s control or at the beneficiary’s end.
If the course offered involves live training, it will be arranged as per a pre-planned date, time, and online platform. This information will be communicated to the beneficiary in advance. Centre for Public Policy Research reserves the right to change the date, time, and venue (online platform) of the live training and will inform the beneficiary accordingly.
6.2 Billing Cycles
For subscription-based services, the billing cycle will be defined at the time of the purchase (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually). Payments will be automatically charged to your selected payment method at the start of each billing cycle unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
6.3 Free Trials
If a free trial is offered, you may be required to provide payment details upon registration. The free trial period will be specified at the time of registration. If you do not cancel the trial before the trial period ends, you will be charged for the subscription at the standard rate.
6.4 Refund Policy
By choosing to avail the services offered by CPPR, you agree to accept the general terms and conditions for payments and refunds for our services. All services availed and/or materials downloaded from www.cppr.in are considered final, and no refunds will be given, except as specifically provided in these terms.
For live training, no refund will be issued. If CPPR decides or is forced to issue a refund or receives a charge-back, your debt will be turned over to our collections department, and you will be charged to cover the loss incurred by CPPR.
Course orders are NOT eligible for refund, cancellation, or transfer. Refund or transfer requests may only be approved under the following conditions:
If the request is made AFTER 24 hours or if the student has completed MORE THAN the prescribed allotted training time, the tuition fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
6.5 Credit Card Payments
When using a credit card for payment, you confirm that the credit card is issued in your name or that you have the cardholder's permission to use it. You agree to provide accurate billing information and resolve any payment issues with us before contacting your credit card provider. Fraudulent chargebacks or unauthorized reversals will not be tolerated and may result in legal action.
6.6 Charge backs & Fraudulent Transactions
Any fraudulent chargebacks initiated after receiving the service will be reported to the relevant authorities. If you dispute a charge that was validly processed, you will be liable for any chargeback fees and associated costs incurred by us.
6.7 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change the fees for our services at any time. Changes will be communicated to you before the next billing cycle.
6.8 Service Delivery & Timing
Once payment is successfully processed, you will be granted immediate access to the purchased services (e.g., courses or training). We are not responsible for any delays caused by technical issues on your end, including internet service outages.
6.9 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any losses, damages, or costs incurred due to your failure to comply with these payment terms, including any chargebacks or unauthorized payments.
By accessing or using the services provided by Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), the Beneficiary agrees to the following usage restrictions:

Any rights and obligations that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., indemnification, limitation of liability, and governing law provisions) will remain in effect. The Beneficiary agrees to settle any outstanding payments due prior to the date of termination.
Reactivation:
Suspended accounts may be reactivated if CPPR determines that the issues leading to suspension have been resolved. Terminated accounts cannot be reactivated, and a new registration will be required to regain access.

10.9 Changes to Privacy Policy

Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or in connection with your use of our platform, services, or this agreement shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration. By agreeing to this policy, you waive your right to file a lawsuit in court, except for claims that may be eligible for small claims court. Arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, in accordance with the rules of Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, in force at the time of the dispute.
The venue for arbitration shall be at Kochi, Kerala, India, and the arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English. You and CPPR Academy agree to resolve any disputes in this manner, instead of pursuing legal action in court.
Furthermore, by agreeing to this arbitration provision, you waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or any other representative action. You also waive any right to a jury trial regarding any claims arising out of your use of the platform.
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated version will be effective as of the date it is made available. It is your responsibility to regularly review these Terms to stay informed about any modifications. Continued use of the platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
CPPR Academy shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms and Conditions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, strikes, pandemics, network failures, or any other event that makes it impossible or impractical for us to perform our obligations. In the event of such a circumstance, our performance will be excused for the duration of the force majeure event.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CPPR Academy, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and third-party service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, services, or violation of these Terms and Conditions. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of your use of the services.
16.1 Severability: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalidity of any clause does not affect the validity of any other clause.
16.2 Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions, along with any policies or guidelines incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and CPPR Academy. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, or representations regarding the use of the platform and services.
16.3 Waivers: Any waiver of rights under these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing and explicitly state the intent to waive a specific right or provision. A waiver of any breach or failure to enforce any provision of these Terms will not be construed as a waiver of any other breach or future enforcement of the provision.
